There are no breaking news at the moment

The Rhode Island Anti-War Committee, in collaboration with partners Pax Christi and the Providence Quakers engaged in a “Die In”, marking the anniversaries of the August 6 and 9 bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Organizers of the event are calling for the United States to sign and ratify the United Nations Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

“The dual existential threats of a nuclear and a climate catastrophe have brought The Doomsday Clock  closer to midnight than ever in its history, since its inception in 1947. Worse yet? Missing in this analysis are the 10 million people who have died prematurely since 1945 in the U.S. because of poverty. In spite of this, Senator Jack Reed, supported by the Senate Armed Services Committee, wants to increase the funding of the war economy by $25 billion over an already bloated White House request.” Dr. Peter Nightingale – Physicist/Peace-Climate Activist.
