Mayor Brett P. Smiley today announced the launch of a community satisfaction survey asking Providence residents, business owners, and community members to gauge their satisfaction with city services. The survey is part of Mayor Brett Smiley’s commitment to improving the local quality-of-life by getting back-to-basics and ensuring City Hall is meeting the needs of the community.

“We can build a better, stronger Providence by making City Hall a center of high-quality services, innovative solutions and easily accessible resources,” said Mayor Brett Smiley. “This survey is an important first step that will help us understand what services are the most used and focus in on the areas that need improvement. I am also very excited to bring on Norelys Consuegra, as a leader in this work and a critical part of my team.”

Norelys Consuegra will serve as Director of City Services. Consuegra has previously served as Deputy Director of Elections for the Department of State, spent 20 years as a Senate aide for U.S. Senator Jack Reed, and has spent her career within the community, finding ways to provide Rhode Islanders better access to services that impact their quality-of-life.

“I am excited to work with Mayor Smiley on making Providence the best run city in America,” said Director of City Services Norelys Consuegra. “Together, we are going to ensure that every neighborhood has access to high-quality city services and support new businesses in making Providence their home.”

The community satisfaction survey is a digital survey that has been translated into SpanishPortugueseFrenchMandarinKhmer, and Arabic to encourage accessibility and participation. The survey will be available on providenceri.gov beginning Wednesday, February 15 through March 15 and will also be distributed by phone.
