From Paul Rianna, Jr. Candidate For Governor:
The hypocrisy of the Rhode Island Department of Health, and Governor Dan McKee, is disgusting on ALL levels.
We watched as they ripped healthy and certified professionals out of the workforce because of their sincerely held religious beliefs, or moral conscious not to get vaccinated, yet they have now decided that it’s okay for people to work while being positive for COVID???
There is a significant staffing shortage in Rhode Island, like myself and many others predicted would happen after Governor McKee made a mandate to fire healthcare workers after October 1st if they were not vaccinated.
My question to Governor McKee and Dr.Alexander Scott surrounding this situation is as followed:
Where is the safety letting COVID postive employees work in a nursing home or hospital?
Even if they’re working with COVID postive patients, they’re walking in a building with people who are not positive, and if omnicron is so catchy won’t they spread it within the facilities?
The Rhode Island Department of Health, and Governor Dan McKee need to let the unvaccinated healthcare workers get back to work. It only seems fair, since we’ve been told for almost 2 years now the importance of PPE gear, and how effective it is.
Rhode Island Department of Health and Dan McKee need to let the unvaccinated healthcare workers get back to work immediately, and stop running from the people of this state that have questions they’d like answers to
